Ryan Adams, “Shining Through the Dark”

Ryan Adams recently re-recorded "Shining Through the Dark," a song that originally appeared on the Live From Nowhere Near You compilation, for the soundtrack to Judd Apatow's new movie, "This is 40."  You can hear the new version at Entertainment Weekly.  Last night he performed the track on Conan with Cindy Cashdollar on dobro and Don Was on bass, and it's just great.  Of all its incarnations, live or studio, I think this might be my favorite.  Check it out:
