Video: Radical Face, “We’re On Our Way”

Recording as Radical Face, Ben Cooper crafted one of the finest albums of 2011 in The Family Tree: The Roots, the first of a three-album series following the stories of an 1800s-era fictional family.  (You can read my review of that wonderful record here.)  Songs that did not fit within the narrative were released as a downloadable EP called The Bastards (possibly one of several EPs to be released as Cooper records the remaining two Family Tree albums).  One of these songs, "We're On Our Way," was recently selected to get the video treatment.  Cooper seems like a fun guy to hang around, especially if you're into themed costume parties:

This video came about a little differently than most that I do. My friends and I like to do themed, ridiculous parties a couple times a year. This one was prompted by my brother, and the concept evolved from "we should have a food fight" to "we should dress as lords and ladies, stay in character for an entire day, and go do games around the city ... and then have a food fight." We dubbed this one "Fancy Feast", and I asked my friend Michael Walter to come and shoot the day. Afterwards I cut the footage into the video you see here. I'm happy that I know enough ridiculous people who will do things like this. It was the best party I've ever been to.

Check out the video for "We're On Our Way":
